October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month 

 

  • Schedule your mammogram and call the Providence Leila J Eisenstein Breast Center at 541-732-6100.  Providence employee mammogram day is October 17th and you must pre-register.  
     

  • Providence responds to cancer – with the latest medical technology that allows for clearer and more detailed evaluation of breast tissue than older imaging techniques. This technology, called Breast Tomosynthesis 3D  –  is the standard of care for mammographies at the Providence Leila J. Eisenstein Breast Center. Providence is proud to be the first to bring this type of screening to the Rogue Valley.

     

  • Breast Cancer is the 2nd leading cause of cancer death in women. It is recommend women starting at age 40 talk to their doctor about when to start mammograms. However, those who have a family history or other concerns may be recommended to have a screening sooner.  

  • Remind your friends and family members of the importance of early detection.
